About the Author

David Kolowski was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. After helping the Millard West Wildcats reach the state playoffs in the second and third years of the school's existence, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln recruited him as a walk-on offensive lineman and long snapper.

Through good fortune, David was able to make it through five years on the team without serious injury or surgery (many others weren't so lucky). All the while, he kept this journal for the whole five years.

Since 2002, he has been editing and refining this journal, all while finishing his undergrad studies, working in sales for a year with 2nd Wind Exercise Equipment, and is now currently back in school at the Palmer College of Chiropractic where he serves on the student council.

David is married to the former 
Lauren Poole of Axtell, Nebraska.
The couple lives in Davenport, IA
where they both are attending
classes at Palmer.
